Frank Silverhawk Piano Forte, Flute, Percussion and Vocals
Michael WhiteWolf Guitar, Flute, Keyboards, Percussion and Vocals
Nic LoneWolf Guitar, Bass, PC and Synthesizers, Vocals
Frank Silverhawk is known for his "Keepers of the Land" ecological program. He has presented this program to kids of many ages at various kid clubs and schools in Citrus county, Florida. Frank has worked as an Emcee for many powwows and native gatherings in central Florida and the mid-west.
Michael Whitewolf has performed in concert and at powwows with various native artists from both North and South America. He facilitates a basic, introductory class about the Cherokee language in central Florida and has worked as an AD for many of the local powwows..
Nic Lonewolf is the newest member of SilverWolf. He has played the Oboe in concert orchestras and has played bass in various groups. He's primarily involved with PC based composition and synthesizer applications as well as his guitar work on several SilverWolf instrumental tracks of their "Kamama" CD.
Note: SilverWolf is a mixture of both registered and non-registered members of a Federally recognized tribal band. Per the Native American Arts Protection laws we must tell you that not everyone in the group are carded members of the Cherokee Nation or any other Native Nation. Thus, our CDs are not 100% American Indian made.
That being said, all members do have native linage and some have qualified CDIB status. CDIB does not automatically qualify a person for full tribal membership. Each tribe has it's own guidelines regarding per blood quantum and years since a family member was active in the tribe among other requirements for acceptance as a member of their tribe. They not only have the right to do so but the responsibility to do so as well. Too many have tried, some with great success, to ride the tide of the renewed interest in native art and music even though they have no native linage. These practices have not only cost the real native artists monetary losses but also they also totally misrepresent the culture, traditions and spirit of the people themselves.
