SilverWolf Newsletter/Blog
We wish to thank the members of Rolling Thunder for their appearance and support at the Yulee Days celebration this past weekend, June 7th. Their presence for the final retirement of the old colors that flew over the courthouse was most welcome and appreciated.

5.1 Surround Sound - DTS format - Soon To Be Available!
We have recently acquired the ability to mix and produce digital 5.1 surround sound CDs in DTS format. The master tracks from our CDs are being re-mixed for a full surround sound experience. Our objective is to place our listeners into the middle of both the soundscape and the performers themselves.
DTS encoded CDs will not play on a standard CD or DVD player. Only a CD or DVD player that has DTS recognition and/or decoding capability can play these DTS CDs. Many 5.1 surround sound DVD players will have this type of DTS feature but not all will. Check your CD/DVD player’s specifications to determine if it will properly play DTS CDs.
We are taking a survey to determine if there will be much demand for 5.1 surround sound CDs from our fans. If you would like to let us know your opinion just click on the Contact SilverWolf tab on the left and drop us an email.
Additionally, we are looking at other 5.1 CD and DVD formats. There are SACDs and others that allow for both regular stereo, PCM encoding and for DTS and other surround sound formats to exist on the same CD. This makes them playable in both standard, stereo players and in surround sound players.
Lastly, we are looking into producing surround sound DVDs that will have a mix of graphic animation and digital video. Once we have something ready to offer we will let you know ASAP!
New Enviro-Friendly (Green) Packaging!
We are looking to change our CD packaging in the near future. Instead of the standard jewel case that is made of plastic, we arer looking at switching to an environmentally friendlier package that uses mainly recycled paper and recycled plastic. This will also reduce our paper usage as the new cases will fold out to a full 6 panels. This will mean we will not have to include our 4 panel booklet as it can be printed directly on the new 6 panel fold out case.
We do not yet have a date when the new cases will be released. We are working with a production company to ensure that all the artwork will be retained in its original design. Once the production issues are solved we will announce the date for the new case release.
